Preschool Program
The Cedar Valley Montessori School Preschool provides an enriching developmental experience in an environment of personal respect and responsible freedom. The classes also offer socialization and formal learning experiences for the very young child. The five-day program is for children three to six years of age. Gross motor coordination activities, singing, stories, learning units and manipulation materials keep the child happy, busy and stimulated. Classroom time is spent in the basic Montessori subject areas: Practical Life, Language, Sensorial and Math. Special events and field trips complement a strong emphasis in science and geography at CVMS. Activities are varied to allow for group and individual experiences. Specific Montessori materials are part of the classroom methodology. The Preschool classes meet Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
