Closing Policy
If extreme weather conditions occur and the Cedar Rapids Schools are closed, classes and daycare will be canceled. If Cedar Rapids schools delay classes for one hour, we will do our best to follow our normal schedule. If Cedar Rapids Schools delay classes for two hours, daycare will open at 8:30 for regular AM daycare users, and classes will start at 9:30. If Cedar Rapids Schools dismiss early due to bad weather, we will also dismiss and children will need to be picked up from all programs.

Support Opportunities
Parents can choose from many opportunities to participate in throughout the year. Those with special talents, large or small, are encouraged to mention their speciality to the Directress.

Still have questions about the Montessori method of education, or parenting in general? Visit the CVMS lending library, located just inside the school's atrium. Parents can borrow a variety of books, videotapes, articles and other materials any time!
